Oral Giving

In November 2014, the Croatian media was intrigued by a billboard that clearly stated: Exhibition of Oral Giving. People were led to believe that this outrageous copy was a mistranslation from a government institution that promotes cultural sharing between nations. But the truth soon came out: the billboard was actually part of our campaign created for the English language school “Moje znanje”. The exhibition was held for real, disposing a collection of English mistranslations that were collected all over Croatia.

The idea was to use the online medium in its strongest form, harnessing its power of spreading content. For this reason, we produced a provocative and interesting content to intrigue the target group using a classic medium (just one billboard) and then let the Internet to do its thing. In just a few hours, thanks to right media positioning, all online media in Croatia and the region reported on our billboard. The news spread also on Facebook and Twitter and became a real viral hit. This ideal harmony of offline and online advertising became the most read news about campaigns in the relevant regional professional portals.
